Q

SELF HOSTED vs. FULLY HOSTED?

A

All e-commerce types fall into two camps when it comes to hosting and maintenance: self-hosted and fully hosted solutions.

  1. Self-hosted solution is when the software is purchased by the marketer and hosted on the marketer's server or at a hosting facility of their choice (this is the case for all Quick Social clients)
  2. Fully hosted solution (software as a service) is when the software is rented through a monthly/annually subscription fee and runs on the software company’s servers. Generally, there is a fee + a % on sales. This is the case for Shopify, Big commerce, Volusion, etc.
Q

Why are you a better solution than Shopify, Big Commerce, Prestashop, etc?

A

If you already have a website with Quick Social Tampa or Miami and want to add an e-commerce it will cost you around $2,500. Otherwise a self-hosted Quick Social e-commerce solution with unlimited users and products costs $5,500 for a one-time installation & training + 3 months free hosting. You will own the software and after the one-time payment you will only pay for the hosting, maintenance, security and technical support  $300/month. No monthly software subscription fees or sales fees.

With this option in 5 years you will pay $20,500.

The cost for fully hosted solutions, such as Shopify and Big Commerce, can start from around $2,000/per month depending on your subscription plan and whether you have unlimited products, users, sales, etc. Based on monthly sales the cost can increase up to 10% per month. Not to mention sales % fees and maybe some support costs.

With this option in 5 years you will pay $147,000.
